- Model Communication Library (MCL) 1.0
The Flux Coupler uses the
MCL 1.0
message passing library (developed at NCAR) to transfer data between
component models. MCL was chosen over PVM and MPI because it's
performance was significantly better than that of any PVM or MPI
implementation available at that time.
