Decadal prediction of the atmospheric blocking over the North Atlantic

This project aims to examine the decadal prediction skills for the atmospheric blocking and associated extreme weather events over the North Atlantic and western Europe. Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of the North Atlantic Ocean circulation as a potential source of skill for the decadal predictions.
