Below is a list of level dependant physics in CAM that may lead to simulation behavior that is erroneously dependent on the number of vertical levels.

Energy Fixer

Dry Adjustment
-Only top 3 levels (ilev=1:3) are considered for dry adiabatic adjustment if unstable.

Deep Convection
buoyan
- Launching level based on level with maximum moist static energy. dp of sub-cloud layer often dp(nlevs)
- Allowed number of buoyancy-top cross over layers (5) are level specific.

cldprp
L2249 - Beginning detrainment layer must be at its lowest higher 2 levels above cloud base and 2 levels below cloud top.
L2262 - Updraft properties initialized at cloud base level.
L2391 - If mass flux < 0.02 then mass flux = 0.
L2404 - Resetting cloud top index from 2 layers above base if cloud one layer thick.
closure
buoyan_dilute
L3124 - Launching level based on level with maximum moist static energy. dp of sub-cloud layer often dp(nlevs)
