CESM Models

CAM 3.0 Simulations

 

Control simulations have been conducted using climatological SSTs and monthly observed SSTs for the Eulerian dynmaical core at T31, T42, and T85 resolutions, and for the Finite Volume dynamical core at a resolution of 2x2.5. Click on the links below 'Model Forcing' to see the build scripts that contain the configure and build-namelist commands used to set up the simulations.

Many of the simulations below have names indicating that they were perfomed using development versions of the model. All of the configurations used produce the same climate as the released model.

CESM Project

The Community Earth System Model (CESM) is a fully-coupled, global climate model that provides state-of-the-art computer simulations of the Earth's past, present, and future climate states.

CESM is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Administration of the CESM is maintained by the Climate and Global Dynamics Laboratory (CGD) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR).
