The North Atlantic is a region characterized by particularly high and long-lasting prediction skill for upper ocean heat content, sea surface temperature, and related atmospheric fields. This project is aimed at elucidating the internal ocean and coupled ocean-atmosphere mechanisms that underpin DPLE skill in the North Atlantic and Nordic Seas regions.
