We evaluate the probabilistic skill of the ensemble of decadal predictions for surface air temperature and precipitation over land regions, using traditional metrics taken from the weather and seasonal ensemble prediction communities. How reliable is the initialised ensemble, and can we detect skill with respect to the uninitialised LENS?
