Exploration of the Global Monsoon Across the Last Millennium

The regional monsoons are known to vary coherently in some contexts while in others their connections appear to be weak. In this work, an exploration of the degree of coherence exhibited by the monsoons under both strongly and weakly forced conditions is explored in order to examine the relevance of the global monsoon concept to variability over the past thousand years.
