Investigating the Tropical and South Atlantic Variability during the Last Millenium

Co-Author: Ilana Wainer
This research project aims to investigate the possible relationship between the natural external forcings of the past millennium climate (850 to 2005C.E.) and the Tropical/South Atlantic Ocean variability. Particularly we wish to understand the changes in the dominant mode of climate variability of the Tropical and South Atlantic (the SASD). Impacts on the Southwest Atlantic and changes in the Brazil-Malvinas confluence region and associated water masses will also be addressed.
